The work of the Chair and Commissioners is supported by a Directorate made up of a small team of civil servants. The team is led by our Director, Barbara-Ann Collins.

Deputy Director, Susan Green, manages much of the policy work, including violence against women.

Deputy Director, Daniel Barrow, manages much of the internal running and management of WNC, including the WNC Business Plan.

Eleri Butler leads our work on violence against women (including domestic violence and sexual violence); on equalities, including EHRC and the Gender Equality Duty. Eleri is supported in this work by Sophie Howes and Jo Stradling.

Shelly Dowrich leads our work on International issues including CSW, CEDAW, and the International and European E-Network, on Migration and Asylum and on Honours - supported by Sarah Priest and Anna Clark; and on women in public life including Public Appointments - supported by Jennifer Cole.

Mutanser Ashraf manages WNC’s external interface and leads on our outreach and communications work, including events and conferences, work with our partners and oversees visitors, plus the WNC website and newsletter.

Our Communications Officer is Sylvia Namata. 

Fiona Lamming is our Commissioner Relations Manager.
