Equality
The Government is undertaking a number of consultations around the establishment of a single equalities body, equalities legislation and the root causes of inequality in Britain.
International
The WNC is involved in a numbers of ways to represent the UK in the international arena.
Migration & Asylum
The WNC has a Migration and Asylum Working Group which meets quarterly to progress a range of issues of concern to migrant women and asylum seekers.
Muslim Women
WNC support the Muslim Women group, who works toward influencing Government policy on issues that are critical to them as women as well as members of a minority faith.

Pensions

Public Appointments

Trade
The DTI Europe and World Trade Directorate with support of the Women’s National Commission established a Gender Expert Group on Trade, but this has since been closed down. Information on their work is available here. Link
Violence Against Women
The Violence Against Women Working Group meets quarterly and also has two sub-groups: one dealing with sexual violence; and the other dealing with domestic violence.
